great adhesive 5 stars
By pamelynt on August 16, 2010 - See all my reviews
Pros : This stuff really sticks well. If you need to reposition, you can, but do it quickly...the longer it sets, the harder it is to get off. It burnishes beautifully.
Cons : The adhesive does get messy if you tear the tape during burnishing. Just be gentle...it's worth the effort.

Value Foil 5 stars
By Eisenhauer on December 23, 2008 - See all my reviews
Pros : Works the same as other foil, but more cost-effective.
Cons : If you don't like seeing copper color through the glass, then you need to get the black or silver-backed.
Other Thoughts : I usually leave the solder to patina on it's own; in that case the copper is visible as "not matching", but to my eye adds some variety to the piece. I'm not concerned about the "not matching" (which is usually hardly noticeable), but I know some people are concerned about that (or like to patina with copper wash to match).
