This handy foiler puts a whole new spin on foiling! Just put your roll of foil on the mounts, and you're ready to go. Works with different sized foil (including 7/32", 3/16" and 1/4") and is portable, so you can foil wherever you want to.
Delphi Tip: Using a foiler helps keep foil centered, making foiling faster and more accurate, and helps create stronger solder joints.
Pros : I started using this foiler and the time I spend foiling has been cut in half, literally. It took some practice and a little getting used to as far as adjusting it so it foiled evenly, but once I had it down, I was able to breeze through foiling with the greatest of ease!
Cons : I had a little trouble initially adjusting it and I find myself not using it for tiny pieces (which I am slowly learning to avoid anyway!) I still hand foil the teeny pieces like leaves on flowers or even some edge pieces.
Other Thoughts : I accidentally put an older roll of foil that I had sitting around, on the foiler and there was some adhesive or something sticky on the roll. It HAS to be good quality foil which comes off the roll easily or it will disappoint you. Other than that, I LOVE this new tool!
Pros : Seeing an item with all 5 star ratings makes me a bit skeptical but this one lives up to that billing. It was easy to use right out of the box, though I found the instruction sheet a bit baffling, at times. The Table Foiler speeds up foiling by a significant amount of time. This due to ease of foil application as well as the evenness of the foil application that I found difficult to control with other foil dispensers.
Cons : None at this time but after somewhat limited use.
Pros : Makes foiling large pieces and large projects a snap.
Cons : Can be difficult to use on small pieces.
Other Thoughts : I generally like foiling by hand and find it relaxing. But if I have a larger project with large pieces, this is the foiler I grab off the shelf.
Like most tools with pieces, I wish there was a place to store the other discs so they don't get lost.
