Pros : My first attempts at slumping and casting were disappointing at best. After making the investment in MR97 my projects have been happily problem free.
Cons : Pricey but worth it

Pros : Long lasting and easy to apply, this mold release is my go-to for most projects. I get consistent results including smooth textures and no sticking what so ever. MR-97 dries fast and doesn't crackle like some other kiln washes, even if you get it on too thick in a spot; so no scrubbing it off and starting over!
Cons : Expensive up front, but the mold can be used several times before you need to reapply, so in the long run it isn't much more than Thinfire or other shelf paper.

Pros : I really like using this product over kiln wash mold release for texture molds. Easy to use and didn't stick to the glass in my uses.
Cons : The cost is pretty pricey.

Pros : I have tried this in a couple of dam molds as well as a bowl mold and everything came out beautiful! No sticking at all and the finish was very smooth.
Cons : None that I can think of.
| Other Thoughts : When using this spray, make sure you are very well ventilated. The smell doesn't last long but it is strong while it is there. |
