Bio

I am a network engineer by day and desperately need a release. I've tried many crafts over the years. I visited my local library and came home with books on stained glass. I bought some copper foil, some scrap glass and some solder, My hubby had a soldering iron that turned out to be the wrong size but it worked enough to get me excited about it and I bought more supplies and the right soldering iron. About a year in I decided to give fused glass a shot even though it meant a whole new set of supplies...even the glass used is different. Although I make all sorts of pieces, small wearable art (jewelry) is my #1 seller. I finish each piece in Sterling or 14K. I love glass in all forms and even purchased a torch and dabble in lampwork beads. One of my favorite things to do are glass kaleidoscopes. I sell my wares at my local farmers market, through a local artists guild and at some local art shows. You can view galleries of my work on my website or my facebook page - firelightartglass.com

Wow!  That's a lot of intracut cutting.  At least you didn't have to foil and solder them all   It is truly beautiful.

There are so many beautiful pieces of art on here.  This is the first that has made me want to login and comment.  Stunning!  An amazing work of art.  Thanx for sharing.

Love It!, October 10, 2009 5 stars
Pros
This is my most favorite and best selling scope. Fun & easy to make and always the 1st to go.
Cons
It would be nice to be able to specify the color preference of the rod.
Other Thoughts
I'd like to purchase the rings (jump and 0-ring) without the mirror in bulk.

Makes a pretty bracelet, June 29, 2009 4 stars
Pros
I like the spacing between the glass. It has a great look. The oval links make a very delicate looking piece. I love to make square art pieces and set them so the points of the squares point to the ovals...
Cons
The metal used in the oval links is very thin. Not sure how it will hold up. They are light as a feather when you take them out of the package.
Other Thoughts
More delicate looking (I like) and more cost effective than the traditional round link bracelets we have had in the past that require 12 or more pieces of glass to complete.
