Dancing Light Fused Glass Studio's Profile
Bio
Dancing Light Fused Glass Studio was opened in 2008 by glass artist, Donna Sarafis and her husband, John. With a painting background, "painting with glass" was a natural evolution for me. Classes in Tacoma, WA, led to a full-blown passion. Upon returning to Texas, my pieces were accepted in Hanson Galleries, Houston, Clarksville Pottery, Austin, Glass Works, San Antonio, and Curious Glass Shop, Georgetown. Our pieces are now owned by Harlan Crow and Crow Holdings, Dallas, and other private collections throughout the US. Not only do we design original, one-of-a-kind pieces for sale in galleries and shows, but we offer custom work also. Both John and I teach classes that we believe to be among the most informative and fun in the state. We love what we do, and it is evident in our work!

Sturdy and can accommodate pieces with dimension.
None.
An ongoing dilemma for all of us who do glass panels has been finding substantial, sturdy stands that do not cover parts of our art work. After trying this 12" wrought iron stand, I was thrilled with not only the look, but found it to be very sturdy for taller pieces. I tried a 6mm mosaic panel that was approximately 12" x 18" and found it fit very well with only a small amount of room left. This is great for those of us who often add a little more dimension with frit or other embellishments. Whether six millimeters or slightly larger, the fit is good and the stand is sturdy enough to hold taller pieces, and the look is great. I highly recommend this stand.
