Adami Glass Designs's Profile
Bio
Nathan Adami started working with glass in late 2005 while he was studying Art at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He studied solid glass form for the first year, making a wide array of glass jewelry, before transitioning to the hollow form of glass with specific interest in glass pipes. Adami honed his lampworking skills for many years making a variety of pipes as well as jewelry from home “studios” in basements, garages, and homes of those kind enough to support his art. In 2010, Adami started working as one of the 3 in-house artists with UBG based out of Peoria, IL. At this time he also expanded his home studio for more elaborate solo projects. His solo projects are rooted mostly in line-work, custom color tubing, nature inspired sculpture, and electroforming techniques. Adami’s collections can be viewed at www.glasspipes.org/NathanAdami as well as www.glassartists.org/NathanAdami.
