This is an abstract splash of vibrant color reflective of the tropical fun, colorful floats, costumes and street party spirit to be had by all at the annual renown Mardi Gras of Key West known as "FANTASY FEST".

Originally started in 1979 by 2 business men to stimulate business, attendance at Fantasy Fest has grown to surpass 100,000 people, or more than three times the population of the island itself. The highlight of the 10 day long celebration of Fantasy Fest is its parade featuring humorous floats, including one carrying the annually elected Conch King and Queen.

Held traditionally the end of October, this world famous festival fills the streets of Key West with party goes from all over the world dressed in elaborate costumes, colorful floats, tropical drinks, and pet and neighborhood parades for the whole family. Local foods and drinks abound while party goes dance through the island streets to the music and sounds in celebration of South Florida's grandest party festival.
