IZABELLA - I ANIMALI (The Animals) Collection presents
#36-1111-6 IA "PELICAN PERCH" 12" Tack Fused Glass Art Sculpture with Wrought Iron Stand
This is a one of a kind original art piece, signed and numbered by the artist.
Clear blue southern Florida skies, beautiful blue bay waters, and a familiar and eager winged fisherman enjoying the warmth of the sun. This whimsical pelican sits high on his perch on the dock by the bay.
There is virtually no place along our shoreline that the Pelican is not a familiar feature and site. These ancient water birds lineup atop the dock posts, bridges, and bay markers eager to spot and dive into the water to retrieve their next flavorful morsel. The Pelican is so familiar and so prevalent to Southwest Florida that multitudes of establishments, developments, and roadways have adopted "Pelican" somewhere in their name. None the less, as a waterfowl the Pelican has become a common symbol and no Florida art collection would be complete without featuring this noted bird in one of it's pieces.
This sculpture captures a whimsical version of a common site as he is featured perched atop a wood dock piling. A bright orange sun contrasts the dark blue of his feathers and light blue accents of the sky and turquoise of the waters. It is a fun piece of art and is sure to add a very nautical touch and look to any decor.
