Description

IZABELLA - I ANIMALI (The Animals) Collection presents

"MR JINGLES" # 17-1011-3IA (12" Tack Fused Round with Wrought Iron Stand)

The cardinal is one of the few birds instantly recognized and loved by everyone young and old alike.

The male cardinal is distinctive for his beautiful scarlet bright red color and ear pleasing song. "cheer cheer cheer," "whit-chew whit-chew" and "purty purty purty" as he calls out to his lifelong mate. The female cardinal is more demur with buff brown feathering and red tipped wings. Their song is heard through the year in Florida.

The cardinal, numerous in varieties, is the state bird of 7 states: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The Southern Cardinal is very abundant in Florida and in all our Southern States. It is constantly found in our gardens, fields, and orchards. They enter our southern towns seemingly carefree and it is rare to go into a gardens yard without seeing this beautiful Red-bird skipping about the trees chirping his pleasant song.

Often used to symbolize the Christmas Season (thus the name of this art piece "MR JINGLES") because of the scarlet red color, the Cardinal is always a vision that brings smiles and is associated with happiness and pleasentries of both sight and sound.

Combining the skills and arts of both stained glass and fused glass, this sculpture presents "MR JINGLES" perched gracefully on a pine tree limb, chirping joyfully out for his mate and for all to stop and enjoy the beauty of nature.
