I designed this panel, after visiting a wonderful facility in Florida called White Fences. The horse show at that time was a dressage test with many beautiful horses being shown there.
Stained Glass design has become a really fun and creative outlet for me, one which I enjoy very much. This panel is 26 1/4" wide by 25" high, and I've used a variety of glass in the manufacture of the panel. Wissmach, Kokomo, Youghiogheny and Spectrum glasses were used in the creation of the panel. I enjoy creating pieces that have a great deal of detail and texture. The edging on the piece is Zinc Adj U that I soldered and sponged for a rough texture and to make the patina appear the same on the frame as it does on the panel itself.
It was a labor of love. Being a horse owner/show person most of my life, it was my goal to try to design these magnificent animals in as much detail and as lifelike as possible in glass.
