I made this 11" diameter bowl by clear capping a red circle of Bullseye glass and bringing this to a full fuse. Then I dumped a bunch of black Bullseye powder frit on this blank, and I used a rubber-tipped clay tool to push the black powder around into the shape of a giraffe and the ground that the giraffe is standing on. I actually had to do this twice because I hadn't used a thick enough layer of the black powder after tack-fusing it onto the red blank. So, I added more black frit and tack-fused it again, but I went a little past tack-fuse temps. The last fuse was the slump into the bowl mold. I cold-worked the bowl edges a little on my CrystalMaster lap. I sold this bowl with the blacksmithed bowl stand that I buy from a blacksmith in Colorado.
