Product Description

Our Most Popular Bandsaw!
Why is the Diamond Laser 3000XL Delphi's most popular saw? With the Diamond Laser 3000XL, it's simple to achieve precise intricate, smooth cuts on all kinds of art glass and ceramic tile. This means you virtually eliminate time spent at the grinder, and waste less glass on tricky cuts.

  • Includes two ultra-thin diamond edged blades, providing up to 160 hours of cutting
  • Narrow profile blade allows you to cut details like never before, and makes even "impossible" cuts possible
  • Adjustable blade guides can be positioned directly over your work up to 1" thick, reducing vibration in the blade for greater stability and concise control
  • Built-in light illuminates the cutting area so you can see clearly for more accurate cuts
  • Durable re-circulating water pump with "ultra-plus" filtration provides a steady stream of water to the blade, keeping your saw running cool and clean
  • Extra large 10" x 12" table provides support for large glass pieces
  • Straight edge and angle guides ensure accurate cuts
  • Variable speed 1/7 hp motor makes it easy to set the cutting speed according to the material, thickness, and precision of your cuts. Plus, it's so quiet you can hardly hear it run
  • Set up takes only minutes, and with easy-to-install blades, quick blade tension adjustment, and virtually no replacement parts, you can spend more time cutting, and less time maintaining your saw
  • So sturdy it's covered by an incredible 3 year manufacturer warranty (excluding blades)

  •   Love my DL 3000 XL Band SAw

Pros : AFTER I ordered my DL3000XL I read a bunch of negative reviews on this site about the light on this saw and about water making a mess. I LOVE the saw. The light is great but not necessarily needed because I have an overhead light above my saw and there is NOTHING obscuring the view of the working service. Even though it has a flat blade compared to my last saw which had a round one, I found it easy to cut curves. It is quiter than my last saw. It cuts so much faster and it is true...the cut is fine which means it removes less glass making my work more accurate. I LOVE MY NEW SAW.
Cons : I think the saw is PERFECT.
Other Thoughts : I WILL RECOMMEND THIS SAW TO ALL MY GLASS ARTIST FRIENDS.

Pros : multi-uses, fast, diamond blade very durable. We bought this initially just for stained glass. It proved to be just as advertised. Fast and great for small difficult cuts.
Cons : Water ends up on floor, somewhat cheap plastic pieces for the water sources that keep the blade wet while cutting.
Other Thoughts : We purchased this for cutting glass for our stained glass projects. We found it to be perfect for what we purchased it for. That was in 2005. Almost 10 years later it is still running strong and we just recently were renovating our bathroom and had very difficult tile to cut. A tile cutter would have broken the tile. We tried using the XL 3000 to cut the fragile tile and low and behold, it cut it perfect. Next, we tried it with regular tile for some very difficult cuts that a tile cutter would never have been able to get. With a little effort, it managed to cut the tile perfectly. I would have given it 5 stars if we didn't have to change how to catch the water so it doesn't end up on the floor all the time. Great tool!

Pros : Just got these saw today and I can cut 3 to 4 times more items in a day then what I was cutting before I got it. This thing will save me time, glass, copper wrap, soldier, and grinding bits. I really like it and think it is a very good item for the money.
Cons : Had to rework the water catch tray is there is not a big water mess on the floor but is not a big deal ... Just cut a couple of pieces of plastic and taped them in place.
Other Thoughts : I woulda ell anyone starting in stain glass to get this.

How and when did you get started in glass art? I saw an article about Kristin Frantzen-Orr along with a step by step example of how to do one of her famous floral beads. I talked about it so much my husband bought me a beginning torch set for the following Christmas. Once I got the kiln and the duel fuel torch, I just kept experimenting and growing from there. Kristin is still my idol and I keep telling myself that one day I will do nice, clean floral beads like hers. Your jewelry, vases, plates etc. are all beautiful. I especially love the geologic nature of your Copper Reactive dish, its so unique. Can you tell us a little about how you achieved that look? The base glass is Bullseye Steel Blue Opal (000146) and it reacts all on its own. I used clear stringers and broke up chunks

We tell ourselves not to judge a book by its cover, but the simple truth is, we are attracted to whats attractive. On a recent hunt for a birthday present for my mother, I came across several beautiful handbags in several different boutiques. What ultimately influenced my final purchase decision was the complimentary gift-wrapping offered by one of the storeowners. The handbag itself wasnt any prettier or better quality than the others I was considering, but the packaging was beautiful. Brightly colored tissue, a big sturdy box, quality wrapping paper and an oversized hand-tied bow. No, it wasnt sealed with a kiss, rather a large gold embossed sticker with the boutique name and logo (theres nothing wrong with a little discreet self-promotion). Here are a few tips for better packaging-it might just buy you your next customer. 1. Show your customers what theyll get. The boutique I mentioned earlier had

Delphi merchandiser Kayleigh McGrath recently shared some photos from her early days at Delphi. She was playing around with different colors and textures of glass and learning the hard way that there are limits to what you can do (and cant do) in fusing. The first image shows what happened when Kayleigh layered dichroic glass, coating to coating. The base is 90 COE dichroic rainbow pixi stix on black, (Delphi item 921714) and the top is an old texture we dont carry any more (cyan red radium on clear.) The second image is of a piece Kayleigh loved so much she impatiently removed it from the kiln when it was still too hot (havent we all done this. ) As you can see, it suffered thermal shock. This was made with the same 90 COE pixi stix on black for the base and capped with Delphi item U630090 90 COE
