Inland DropOn bits interlock with a bit adapter, removing the need for a wrench or other tool to change bits - just drop it on and go! Use with item 40100 DropOn Bit Adapter (sold separately). The Super Fine grit shapes glass and mirror without chipping and features a safety edge.
This two-part grinding bit system consists of a DropOn Diamond Bit "Sleeve" which fits on a DropOn Bit Adapter. The two parts interlock while the grinder motor is on, but are easily separated when the motor is off. No wrenches or tools are needed to change from one bit to another.
Pros : These are the grinder bits I have graduated to. I use these bits exclusively for 1" and 3/4". It's great to be able to change from one size or grit to another is a couple of seconds with no tools. You end up using the right size bit for the task rather than making due because you don't want to take the extra time that changing regular bits take.
Cons : Make sure you keep anti-seize on the bit and the mandrel and take the bit off at the end of the day. I had a slight problem when I did not do one or the other.
Other Thoughts : It is a little more initially to buy the bit and the required mandrel, however all the drop on bits use the same mandrel so the ease of use more than makes up for the extra initial price.
