Pros : I like the large grinding surface.
Cons : The pump is worthless, which makes the grinder unusable. I have fixed the tubing, assembly, etc. and it still only runs a short time before having another issue.

Pros :

Cons : Please do not purchase one!! Nothing but problems with the pump. It leaks so badly I have to place a LARGE pan under it to catch the water leaking from the bottom and empty it hourly. While waiting on a different grinder, I got this thing out in desperation and still wonder why these pump problems have not been resolved. Don't buy one! You will regret it. I had to give this at least one star, but my real choice would have been 0 stars.

Pros : Tilt angle is convenient. Gets the job done. Lasted 4 years with significant use
Cons : After cleaning and refilling, I have to use a suction pump to get the water flowing. Seems like they should have fixed this problem by now. In fact, it is outrageous that they haven't after all the complaints from users.
| Other Thoughts : My previous Twister bit the dust after 4 years of use. I just bought another one mostly because I have a decent supply of their unique grinder bits. Overall I'm happy with this product. |

Pros : It looks nice.
Cons : Pump does not work. I am on my second motor. The water starts up the pipe and then stops. Off and ON, off and on. So much water all over. Not a good product.

Pros : Motor is strong, surface is large
Cons : Pump will only run in flat position. Had to tilt to horizontal to get it flowing for the angled position. Pump stopped altogether in the first 20 minutes of use.
| Other Thoughts : A powerful motor is useless without a more powerful pump to accommodate the angle this product is built for. |

Pros : Nice deep water reservoir. Usually a constant flow of water.
Cons : Pump too strong, it needs a way to reduce water flow so you don't get soaked.
| Other Thoughts : Returned a twister grinder due to incorrect sized tubing used causing water to leak out from bottom of grinder. Delphi was very supportive and sent a new unit out very promptly. Second unit has had no problems. |

Pros : I am relatively new to stained glass. I researched grinder options before purchasing this one. I was hesitant because there were none like this at the place that I had taken my classes however, I am most pleased with my purchase.
Cons : I had a slight problem getting the water to flow through the tube the first time I tried to use it, however, my husband was able to get it working and it is still functioning properly 6 months later.
| Other Thoughts : I find that I can do a better job grinding the edges to perfection in a sitting position rather than standing. |

Pros : I have had this for two years - knock on wood - NO problems so far. I like the angled grinding surface, less neck strain when grinding for hours.
Cons : I don't have any cons.
| Other Thoughts : I love this grinder. |

Pros : I find almost "nothing" wrong with the Twister. With my severe back problems, this has been a God-send to me. I sold my old flat grinder after buying the Twister. It has far more and better features than any flat top grinder. The tilt position is perfect if your work bench is at the proper height. I have NO problem with my water pump. Once the pump is pumping water, it never stops flowing. I plan to buy a second Twister to set up with a 1/4 inch bit. Customer Service at Gryphon has been excellent. Three of our local Glass Art Guild Members own this grinder with only one minor complaint (see notes in Con box). I teach classes and recommend this grinder over all over grinders. I have used 5 or 6 different ones in the past. Quick-change bits are awesome to use. Great product from Gryphon.
Cons : With the three Guild Members who own and use the Twister, the only complaint has been that on large pieces of glass, water will run off into your lap, or on your shoes. Duh!
| Other Thoughts : Any owner of this grinder should read the directions and make note that they MUST watch the clear water tube to be certain that water is flowing properly before grinding. A simple "stop and restart" on the foot switch and the water flows great. I must constantly remind my students, because they are more intent on shaping glass than protecting equipment. I use a foot switch, but if a person is not going to watch the flow with each use, turn it on full-time, check the water flow and let it run. That way, you have water on the glass & grinder bit and you are not running a dry pump (which will burn up ANY pump). Gryphon Service Department bends over backward to take care of its customers. |

Pros : The angle is great. The hose for a pump makes is easier to keep glass wet.
Cons : The grinding bits are hard to find, and the universal ones size on the shaft.
