Skutt's clam shell design provides easy access to the glass for loading and manipulating. The top chamber of the kiln retains the heat when the kiln is opened and the bottom allows room for heat to flow under the shelf for uniform heating.
The kiln easily holds a 20" shelf with room for positioning. Elements are hung on a refractory rod which helps extend life and prevent particles from falling into the glass. The fiber top is removable, so changing elements is easier than any other kiln on the market. Also features gas shocks.
The famed GlassMaster controller is standard on this unit. Designed specifically for glass fusing, you'll find it easier to use than typical controllers that were originally designed for ceramic work. Firing chamber measures 23-1/2" x 24-1/2" x 13-1/2". All kilns phase 1. See specifications for full product details.
Please Note: This kiln is a high voltage product and will require a NEMA 6-50 receptacle outlet (see image below). This kiln is available to be shipped via truck only - call or email for a freight quote.
