What is collage art?
A collage is a work of art made from assembling different forms thus creating a new whole one. A collage may include bits of colored or hand-made papers, pre-printed designs, photographs and charms or other found objects. You can create collage jewelry using the glaze or soldered method. The origins of collage can be traced back hundreds of years, but this technique made a dramatic reappearance in the early 20th century as an art form of novelty.
Step-by-Step: Glazed Collage Jewelry

| 1. Select a background to use as the base for your collage. Cut to fit. |
| 2. Spread a thin layer of DG3 and firmly press background image into place. |
| 3. Add your favorite embellishments in thin layers of DGS, allowing each to dry, before adding the next. |

Step-by-Step: Soldered Collage Jewelry

| 1. Using the embellishments of your choice, compile and glue your collage onto a background image. |
| 2. Sandwich collage between two clean pieces of mirco-thin glass. Foil and burnish. |
| 3. Brush flux over foil and solder with lead-free solder. Solder any hooks, wires or jump rings onto your project. Clean and enjoy! |
