Speedster XL Bandsaw Description

The Small Saw with Big Performance!
What makes the Speedster a dream saw for beginning glass artists? The easy assembly with preset blade tracking and tensioning will have you cutting in minutes. And the two preset speeds allow you to cut at either a low rate, for intricate designs, or a high rate, for "speedy" fast cutting. Make multiple cuts by stacking glass. The Speedster's powerful motor helps you make repeat pieces in almost no time.

The improved Diamond Laser Speedster XL features a two-speed switch for controlled cutting speed. Choose from the low rate of 4" per minute or the high rate of 22" per minute. Delphi Tip: Control your cutting speed with a Rheostat (sold seperately). The improved water nozzle and guide-mounting block offers better water flow to the front of the blade to increase cooling and lubrication. A new lower wheel drain minimized water build-up.

All the great features of the original remain, including a powerful, yet quiet 1/8 HP direct drive motor for smooth cutting, large 10" x 9" cutting table, angle & blade guide, sturdy metal frame, two seamless stainless steel diamond coated blades, and three year warranty (excludes blades). The Speedster is still the perfect saw for small studios and hobbyists!

Pros : It can get to hard to reach places.

Other Thoughts : I hardly ever use it. I've broken too much glass and soaked my work area. I'd much rather cut and grind by hand.

Not worth it!

Pros : Powerful and fast. The multiple speeds were helpful for finer cuts.

Other Thoughts : I gave up and bought a different machine. The extra money you spend on a better machine is very much worth it.
