| Great grinder for small projects
Pros : I received the Glastar Super Star II Grinder for Christmas this year and have used it for shaping cabochons, earrings and small bowls for fusing and slumping. I have even used the mini table attachment with 1/4" & 1/8" heads to form smaller twists and turns in my glass shapes. I love this grinder. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and fits comfortably on my countertop. I also like the small drawer in the base which holds a couple of extra grinder heads and tools.
Cons : I don't have anything negative to say about this grinder.
| Other Thoughts : I use the standard grinder head sold with the grinder for non dichro fusible glass, but use a finer grinding head for dichro to avoid chips on the edges of the dichroic coating. I would recommend purchasing the additional head for grinding dichroic glass. |
| Nice First Grinder

Pros : I purchased this grinder 2.5 years ago and it shows no signs of wear and tear. It is stable, has enough power for my hobbyist use and is meeting my expectations. Would recommend it.
Cons : The bit that came with it developed bare spots after a year or so but not sure if that's due to user inexperience, normal life expectancy or just not a very good bit.
