WOW!
Pros : I use only Lead Free as I have a child in the house and the lead can go through the air vents and everything. I have always known that this is the less preferred method as it is thought that Lead free Solders are harder to work with. I wanted to find one that I could purchase at Delphi with the rest of my supplies. I finally got up the nerve to try this solder and all can say is WOW! I love it! It leaves an even better bead line and "level pools" very nicely. It lets you leave the iron on it a little longer to get the perfect dome without turning too thin and running too quickly. It has even taken the patina better! Granted--I use a scotch pad with Dawn to clean the flux/solder before hand--but I used the same method with other solder and did not have as good results as with the Mastercraft.
Cons : I wish I would have tried it sooner!

Great Stuff
Pros : I really like working with this solder. I was nervous to make the switch to lead-free but I'm glad I did. Very nice to work with and polishes up nicely. It also accepts the patinas I tried so far.
Cons : More expensive than 60/40
Other Thoughts : Don't be afraid to try it!

All I'll ever use!
Pros : Smooth application. Accepts patina well. Great for when people, especially children, handle the items. Polishes as well as 60/40.
Cons : Costs a little more.
Other Thoughts : Lead-free is all I will ever use with my work!

Disastrous
Pros : Being free of lead--a poison--is great; delivering terrible performance is not.
Cons : Very brief "waxy" state, i.e. extremely short time between liquefied and hardened. Dull finish.
Other Thoughts : Like many, I try to avoid any and all toxins in my environment whenever possible, and given the great reviews, I thought this product would serve me well. It didn't! It has an extremely high melting temperature, which is workable with good soldering skill, but it solidifies almost immediately after the iron is removed--this makes pulling a continuous bead along a seam extremely difficult, as any bumps in your glass that cause the iron to stop for the briefest of moments frequently means that the iron itself gets stuck as its trailing edge adheres to the already solidified solder behind it! I have tried different irons, and iron tips, maximizing temperatures, trying different fluxes with it, etc. The results have all been the same: terrible, and amateur looking solder lines! I can't run away from this stuff fast enough!!!!
