| Incredible Band Saw

Pros : After unpacking and setting up I immediately cut three pieces of glass that had been waiting for this saw. A very professional quality saw that does the job. The set-up was straight forward. I was debating a ring saw vs a band saw but a lady at Delphi suggested that ring saws have a lot of moving parts; a band saw is simple and very straightforward. After using the DL 5000 I am glad I went with the band saw. This is a great addition to my small glass studio.

Cons : I thought my water pump was not working but it turned out that it only needed priming. It was only cock-pit error.

| Other Thoughts : The quality of this band saw is very high. Diamond Tech has developed a very professional quality piece of equipment. It was a pleasant surprise. |

Pros : Does the job, I will admit. I've used it for those tricky cuts; saves on glass.

Cons : Seemed poorly constructed right out of the box. Had to file down the base before use as it wasn't even level. It is screamingly loud and sprays water everywhere. I've been using this saw for almost a year now and do not consider myself inexperienced with saws. Blade replacement due to breakage has been frequent and expensive.
