| Saw with great value!
Pros : Reduces waste, cost, and time! Great for beginners like myself. Very little assembly was needed. Delphi technical department recommended this saw for my needs. They were very patient with me and my questions about which saw was right for me! The outstanding support I have had with Delphi is the reason I am taking the time to review their product and service. I am not a Delphi employee. I am a contractor who wants to integrate colored glass with exotic wood and lighting. I've used wet saws to cut tile and other masonary products and this saw does a great job cutting glass. Delphi saved me time and money which is paramount to my success! Thank you Delphi! Mark S. in Clifton Park, New York.

Cons : Had to add a mylar strip to prevent water from dripping out of the bucket resevoir. I had to apply the mylar strip (Tape) just left of the bottom black rubber wheel. (Just below the sponge) I used a 3 inch strip of clear packing tape and applied it to the neck and bucket to keep water from creeping between them. Very minor problem. Great saw!

| Other Thoughts : The saw came with an extra blade which added value to my purchase! I figured if my first blade broke, I had another as a backup. If you are using this saw for the first time, you will like the variable speed control of the blade. The saw is very very quiet! I can do work late at night and not wake the wife or kids. I haven't made many curved cuts, but the few that I have made went quite well and required very little effort. Just go slow and don't force the glass too hard against the blade. Great saw for the money!!! |

Pros : After watching the on line video of products, I chose this saw for the ability to complete quick turns for intricate designs. In addition, the video showed the ability to stack two pieces to get a mirror image. This worked with ease and my piece "Toeing the Lines" shown in the Gallery (under Jewelry) shows the turns and mirror image. The product was easy to set up and requires little maintenance.

Cons : As in another review, I had to redirect the water to ensure it fell back into the collector.
| Other Thoughts : I am just starting out with glass work and as the saying goes "if I can use this saw, so can you". |
| Its Quite Messy
Pros : 1. The saw does simple cuts really well and is pretty fast.
2. Cuts are nice and smooth and can go straight to the kiln without much cleaning or grinding.
Cons : 1. Wear an apron! The saw spits water everywhere! I usually end up soaked.
2. You have to put the entire unit into some kind of large bucket or else you will have a huge puddle on the floor. I use a large storage tote.
3. The little green light that comes with it to light up the blade is pretty sad. I had to buy a separate light so I could see what I was doing.
4. Doesn't do interior tight turns very well. The thickness of the blade gets in the way. I don't know how they did the piece in the picture but sure couldn't get it to do that!
| Other Thoughts : This is my first and only saw and it does what I need it to but I do wish I had bought one of the ring saws. |
| Diamond Laser Bandsaw
Pros : Makes great cuts once you get used to blade. Does take a bit of patience. Cant force the blade to cut faster.
Cons : I'm tired of getting water everywhere. My fingers are pruned by the time I'm done with a project. Water just splashes all over my work table. Annoying!
| Other Thoughts : Happier with my ringsaw |
| A great saw
Pros : I recently installed some marble (subway) tiles in our bathroom. Since this tile is not as brittle as ceramic tile, it didn't break cleanly when I used a tile cutter.
My Laser 3000XL saved the day. It produced perfect, clean, straight cuts and precise curves. Don't know what I would have done without it.
Cons : Since the tile was 1/4 inch thick, the sawing was a bit slow. As long as I didn't force the tile into the blade, it worked perfectly.
