| Reconsider
Pros : It can get to hard to reach places.
Cons : It's hard to manuever the glass. The water drips and sprays all over the place so I had to place it in a large container.
| Other Thoughts : I hardly ever use it. I've broken too much glass and soaked my work area. I'd much rather cut and grind by hand. |
| Not worth it!
Pros : Powerful and fast. The multiple speeds were helpful for finer cuts.
Cons : I broke two blades in the 3 months I had it. The single directional blade is not optimal for cutting more than straight lines, despite the description.
Because the water splashed all over and did not drain efficiently back into the puny bottle, I had to put the machine in a large storage box to catch the water. Then I had to scoop the water out of the box to pour back into the bottle. The noise was very loud.
| Other Thoughts : I gave up and bought a different machine. The extra money you spend on a better machine is very much worth it. |
| Bandsaw
Pros : I love the way this works. Able to cut glass pieces I never would have.
Cons : Messy, the water seems to drain all over the place. I have mine setting on a towel. Surface space on left hand size can be a little small when trying to turn a piece.
| Other Thoughts : I still have trouble cutting perfectly straight lines but maybe that is a Problem with me. |
| Spend the extra for a good saw!
Pros : Its a cheaper model than some of the nicer saws, but you get what you pay for.
Cons : The blade pops off when using this on the high speed. The slow speed is too slow. Spend the extra money and get a saw that actually works! I sent this one back.
| Other Thoughts : Poorly designed and unsafe. I have talked to other artists that have this model and they have had the same problem with the blade popping off on the high speed. |
