What is Kiln Formed Bracelet Making?
Kiln formed glass bracelets are created by shaping hot glass around a bracelet mold. Bracelets can be custom sized for a perfect fit using fiber paper. Glass is layered and fused together, then slumped around the mold and shaped with graphite tongs. The result is beautiful and surprisingly durable glass art bracelets.
| Step-by-Step: Kiln formed Bracelets |
| 1. Wrap fiber paper around mold and secure with copper wire. Balance bracelet blank on center of mold. |
| 2. Once ends have softened and fallen, slide tongs down sides of bracelet to press it to the mold. |
| 3. Carefully rotate tongs with soft pressure to snug each end of bracelet around bottom of mold. |
| 4. Once kiln has cooled to room temperature, slide bracelet off mold. Enjoy your beautiful custom glass bracelet! |

Glass casting in the process of fusing glass frit, powder or sheet glass into a mold. You can create your own mold with fiberboard or use the of the many casting molds available through Delphi. Create beautiful pendants and cabochons with ease!
| Step-by-Step:Cast Glass Pendants |
| 1. Coat your casting molds with kiln wash product and pre-fire. Fill mold with glass frit, powder or bits of sheet glass. |
| 2. Place in kiln and fuse. |
| 3. Attach bails to pendent with Triolyse or other glass adhesive. |
| 4. String pendant onto necklace and enjoy! |
