What is Wire Wrapping?
Wire is a wonderful material for making jewelry. It can be used by itself to form earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets, or be combined with glass, beads and stones to create stunning jewelry designs. Make a large variety of jewelry by simply bending wire into various shapes and connecting shapes together.
| Wire Wrapping Quick Steps |
| 1. Grind a groove around edges of glass cabochon with a jewelry bit. |
| 2. Wrap wire around cabochon firmly from bottom, ending at the top. Grip wrie with pliers and twist to secure. |
| 3. Bring wires us and wrap twice around a dowel 1/4" away from the cabochon. |
| 4. Using wire nippers, trim ends, twist around base to secure and tuck in ends. |
