Pros : Waited too long to buy!! Like everyone says keeps wet area to a minimum. Tall enough and water bottle is a great reserve.
Cons : Wish wings were longer. My bottle did not come with tapered tip on hose shown in picture? Would have been helpful as now I have to use a tie wrap to secure hose to grinding area!!

Pros : Keeps my area clean. No more wiping up all the over spray around the grinder.
Cons : Would like the side panels to be slightly longer to encase the grinder.

great water source 4 stars

Pros : Always had trouble with a water source for grinding (not impressed with the little sponge business)and this works great. Used a clothes pin to anchor tubing to face shield over grinder and can now position dripping water exactly where I want it. Did have to think about what to set it on as my grinder is on a small, movable cart and there was not enough room for the wing span of this device. I put a dish drainer tray underneath the grinder and it is a perfect fit. If I grind for a long time, water pools at the edge that normally goes into the sink and I can put a papertowel there to keep it from dripping onto the floor.
Cons : As above, need to provide "counter" space large enough to accommodate the wingspan.

favorite splash shield 4 stars

Pros : I love this splash shield because it is tall and has a reinforced top edge to hang my splash bottle. I use the splash bottle form my upper grid on one grinder to keep the 1/4 inch bit wet. On another grinder, I use the bottle to add extra water to the grinding disk. The Slash shield has plenty of room to accommodate longer pieces of glass. It's a great product.
Cons : I use a 30" wide by 18" deep space to set the grinder and splash shield on. It's never been a problem, but some people with a small work area might not want to use that much room.

Pros : it is a good idea to have as it prevents making a mess, just limiting it to a small area.
Cons : can make one out of plastic & still does the same thing.
