Expand Your Creative Glass Palette by Adding Designs Into Flashed Glass
Using flashed glass allows you to create pieces with depth. It features a bright, solid color to work with in combination with a secondary base color to enhance the detail of the design. Lambert's premium glass is German mouthblown, full antique glass that is handcrafted by dipping a blown gather of glass into a colored glass. Flashed glass is excellent for sandblasting and engraving.
See the basic steps below to discover how easy it is!
1. Apply resist to glass. Transfer design to resist, cut along lines using a stencil knife. Peel away the cut pieces where the glass will be frosted.
2. Place glass inside sandblast cabinet. Please note: It is important to follow all safety instructions from the manufacturer. Blast by moving the nozzle back and forth evenly, starting at the top of the design and moving downward.
3. Remove remaining resist, clean the glass and display!
