Lead-free Pewter Finish solder is 100% safe for jewelry and skin contact applications. It has the penetration, solderability and capillary action of 50/50, which melts between 361° - 421° F It is a unique solder that renders a lightweight, yet strong product with lovely satin finished seams resembling pewter. Using a 100 watt soldering iron is recommended. Lead-free solder is ideal for projects that will be handled frequently or worn, or in workshops and classrooms that need to stay lead free. Sold in a 1 lb. spool.
Delphi Tip: Lead-Free Solder should be used when making projects where your skin comes in contact with it, such as jewelry, boxes and kaleidoscopes.
