Pros : Doesn't require moving a lot of things. Easy to clean, easy to use. Not bulky.

Cons : Thinness could result in overheating.

| Other Thoughts : I have one of these and have used it quite a while and love it. I use my table for other things so now when I want to solder I just need to clean a small space. When I'm finished I wash it under the faucet. I have never had any trouble with it getting hot or the under surface getting hot. |

Pros : Love this item. No burning surfaces and its really easy to clean. Just grab a damp paper towel and brush everything into a pile - perfect for soldering small jewelry items.

Pros : This mat is wonderful! It helps to keep my work are clean and reduces the mess I have to clean up when soldering. I was really making a mess of my counter area and with the mat I am keeping things neater and cleaner plus reducing the Flux mess I had.

Cons : the edges do tend to roll up. but, they flatten out fairly easy
|
| Other Thoughts : If the product had a heavier edge it might avoid the roll up at the corners. |

Pros : Protects surfaces, provides easy clean-up, solder does not stick to it, lightweight and portable

Cons : The surface below the mat will still burn! Be careful when you use this to make sure the undersurface is further protected. I didn't notice that I created blisters on my undersurface until too late.

Pros : portable, easy to clean and keeps the soldering area clean.

Pros : This is a must when soldering! Not only, protects your work surface, it makes cleans up super easy. The mat resists solder making it easy to brush off excess solder that has dropped from your projects.

Cons : It is pretty thin, so short direct exposure of the soldering tool to the mat can create a burn on the mat and could burn your work surface underneath.
