Pros : This is a good selection for classes, and at a good price. It might not be the best choice for individual artists, but for student needs, it's perfect, giving us a wide range for the money.

Pros : It was shipped quickly. It arrived undamaged It is spectrum glass.
Cons : The selection was horrible. When the description said that there would be no more than 5 pieces of one color I expected the same color but not all the exact same piece of glass. I expected some different textures of the same color. The description should have said that you WILL receive 12 - 15 different colors of glass and there WILL be 5 identical pieces of that color. The description states that you will receive at least 24% premium glass. You will. It will all be identical color and texture no variation. Even if I wanted to buy more of any of this glass I can't because there are no catalog or identifying numbers on any of the glass to tell me what to order to match. From what I could tell whoever packed this pulled a sheet off of the shelf cut 5 pieces from it and threw it into the box. Then they repeated this with another sheet. Several of the colors where the most horrible colors I've ever seen in glass.
Other Thoughts : Don't buy this glass pack you will be disappointed.

Pros : The price per square foot.
Cons : When I read the description it said that you would get no more than 5 of any color. What I got was 5 pieces of the same glass. Thus for the whole crate, I only received 16 different styles of glass. (an example would be 5 pieces of baroque blue glass, then 5 pieces of blue water glass, then 5 pieces of clear baroque). It was definitely a disappointment.
Other Thoughts : If I had the chance to choose again, I would buy colors separately.

Glass Cutters: Selecting A Glass Cutter
May 20, 2012
I got interested in stained glass by admiring the work of my wifes uncle this past Thanksgiving Holiday and am taking a class after the first of the year. I am at a crossroads however as my wifes uncle prefers the pen type cutter and my instructor prefers the "pistol grip" type cutter. My instructor states that better control is achieved with the pistol grip versus the pen type. These two opinions come from people who have been working with stained glass for about 12 years. I would like a non biased opinion to help make a decision on purchasing a cutter since I would like to spend enough money to get the best as I believe that a good cutter would make the hobby much more enjoyable. Thanks for your time. Selecting a cutter is a
