Enhance Your Stained Glass Projects
With Glass Bevels
What are Glass Bevels?
Glass bevels have a slanted edge so they reflect light into a rainbow of colors. Use bevels for windows, doors, suncatchers, candle holders and boxes. Delphi offers hundreds of standard shapes or stock bevels, as well as beautiful bevel clusters.
Step-by-Step:Working with Bevels
| 1. | Use grid paper to lay out the basic design. |
| 2. | Customize with bevels.
Center Motif: using the center point as a reference, place bevel cluster in the center of your pattern. Border and Corners: position the corner and/or border bevels 1" to 2" from the outer border. |
| 3. | Trace around each bevel, numbering the pattern and the bevel. Divide the background with grid lines. Use squares, rectangles, or diamonds. |
