Pros : I am new to fusing glass projects. This book is excellent because it explains things very well and provides lots of tips.
Cons : Would be nice to have it spiral bound so the book can be laid flat on a surface.
Other Thoughts : I do love this book!

  •   Just Right

Pros : Out of the 5 "how to fuse glass" books I have, I refer to this one the most. Not too much history or too much highly technical stuff like some of the others. Just what you need to understand the craft and do it!
Cons : Agree with the others: the price may deter many folks from purchasing.
Other Thoughts : Lots of great illustrations.

  •   Excellent guide to fusing
By on
Pros : Though it is a pricey item, the wealth of information inside makes it worth the expenditure. As a beginner to fusing, I found it an invaluable source of information on fusing technique, color selection, kiln usage, fusing schedules, and many other issues.
Cons : Cost
Other Thoughts : Few instruction/guide books I've purchased have been as comprehensive as this one. Beginners can use it and not feel overwhelmed.

  •   Excellent book
By on
Pros : I have several books on fused glass and this is the most complete book on the subject that I have seen. It covers almost any technique that you can imagine. It would be good for both beginner and a fuser with some experience.
Cons : The price is a little high, but it does have a lot of information.
Other Thoughts : If you only want to buy one book - this is it! The only book of its kind that I would highly recommend.

  •   Navy Dawg

Pros : The best book on glass fusing available. This book complements Brad Walker's prior edition - this appears to be a complete rewrite. I have both and they are quite different. If you can only afford one reference on glass fusing - Brad Walker's book is the one you need.
Cons : None.
