Product Description

exclusive Add a beautiful metallic luster to your next fused glass project with this Royal Cranberry - 90 COE Royal Glass. The lightly textured surface and subtle pearl luster finish provide a decadent finish that can be layered with other fusible glass to make a bold statement.

All Royal Glass is handmade, so your piece may vary slightly from the photo. Glass has a clear base with a vibrant cranberry metallic finish that won't burn off during firing. You can achieve completely different looks by just changing what you place behind it. Shown above fired on clear (top) and black (bottom). Additional images show unfired on white and on black. Sold in 12" x 12" pieces. 90 COE. A Delphi Exclusive.

The pearlescent color of the Royal Cranberry  - 90 COE Glass is made from 100 percent nontoxic materials, which remain delicate until fired. For optimum results, do not use harsh cleansers directly on the coated side or submerge the glass in water before firing. To best retain the full richness of color coating, Royal Glass should be capped or fired with the coated side against an opaque base glass. For more tips, view the User Manual in the additional images section.

  •   Great color

Pros : I had success with full fuses over both transparent and opaque glass -- stunning colors!
Cons : You need to use extreme care not to wash the color off the back of the glass so avoid any wetness!!

  •   Beautiful

Pros : I love this whole line. I've fused it over dichro for jewelry and over plain sheet glass for plates. It fuses beautifully. I find the ability to rub off some of the color from the back a PLUS. I can control to some extent the amount of color. The etching stays after fusing and creates lovely results.
Cons : a bit pricey.
Other Thoughts : When doing small pieces, the edges tend to curl up. Requires each piece to be ground and fire polished. Perhaps due to firing too fast? The larger pieces didn't have this problem, of course I fired them slower..........

  •   horrible results
By on
Pros : None that I've observed, unfortunately.
Cons : Color is just paint on the back of the glass. Use extreme care in cleaning your glass before you fuse it - the paint will wash right off! Also, it still rubs off after fusing wherever it has bled through. Fusing a large piece had disastrous results, with the entire center of the piece burnt & bubbled, plus the color changed about 1" in from the sides.
Other Thoughts : This stuff looked very promising, but doesn't live up to expectations.
