Mardi Gras glass is a type of Bullseye Collage glass. Collage glass features random patterns of stringers, confetti and/or frits, arranged on the casting table and rolled over with clear molten glass.
Mardi Gras sheets combine a colorful sprinkling of frits with glass threads (called stringers) that fuse, twist and curve under the force of the molten glass into a lively cascade reminiscent of Carnival or ticker tape parades. Collage glass is excellent for background and accent pieces. Glass is 3mm thick. Single rolled. 90 COE.
Artist Susanna Fung combined scraps of collage, streaky and opal glass to create a colorful fused glass plate. Fused Calla Lily panel created by Delphi students during a class with guest instructor Tom Snyder. "Into the Light" stained glass panel by Delphi customer Dan Morsette of Inland, MN. Fracture streamer glass was used to enhance the dress. Heart platters created by artist Richard Burns.
