Product Description

Top quality, Venture brand foil. 108 feet long. 1.5mil thick. 1/4" wide.

Many of our customers enjoy 1.5mil thick tape for its heavy weight and durability. 1/4" tape is popular for stained glass and slightly thicker glass.

Telling your foil apart is easy with Venture Foil Tape. The inside ring for 1.5mil is always red or dark pink for easy identification.

Project by artist Beth Kauffman. From "Illuminations" book #5997.

Delphi Tip: Choosing the Correct Foil
When using transparent glass and bevels, choose your foil based on the color of your solder seams.

  • Choose copper backed foil if using a copper patina
  • Choose black backed foil if you are using black patina
  • Choose silver backed foil if you are leaving your solder silver

  •   Super-sticky!
By on
Pros : I had never tried this brand of copper foil, and I am very pleased with how super-sticky it is. Nothing worse than discovering foil failure upon completion of a project. I have shed many a tear as I have been forced to disassemble, clean, refoil, resolder, clean, patina and wax again. It's best to stick with an excellent brand and product like this, which specifically adheres so well to glass.

  •   Crimps Well
By on
Pros : So long as you can keep track of the spool unwinding this foil works well; laying it flat and working with small pieces seems to improve matters in keeping a spool wound. Four hands would work well for larger pieces.
