Play it Safe
Designed to install easily between regulators and hoses, flashback arrestors suppress dangerous flames before reaching the fuel source, keeping you safe. Features internal check valves, which are designed to prevent the reverse flow of gas, one of the major causes of flashback.
Use a quick-connect between the flashback arrestor and hose so you can instantly connect or disconnect your torch without turning off the gas supply. Durable solid brass connectors are color-coded and feature reverse flow check valves designed to prevent accidental gas mixing. An automatic shut-off valve ensures that the gas flow is completely shut off when disconnected.

Pros : These are a must for any flameworker's system. They are a little confusing but just make sure the arrow goes the same direction as the gas. Both should be pointing toward your torch. If not it's doing what it was intended which is blocking the flow (gas or flames). This is one of the first items we should invest in - it can save your life!
Cons : Worked great no complaints.

Cons : Get one of these somewhere you can test it first. I've ordered two, and neither one was functional--no gas through the line.

As a child, I would sit in churches and watch the (often) biblical depictions come to life when a stray ray of sunlight cast its illumination our way. Sun shadows dancing. Chances are, right now, in reading this blog post, youre avoiding an overdue task. I too was avoiding a laundry list of work-related tasks in writing this. Procrastination is a part of life, and its certainly always been a part of mine. As a teenager, my parents would accuse me of putting off everything from piano practice to math homework.
