Fill mold with glass frit, scrap and powders to create one-of-a-kind cast glass buttons. Try combining powders to create a marbled look or accent with dichroic. The possibilities are endless.  Mold allows you to create 4 buttons in 1 firing. Ceramic molds can be used many times.

Coat molds with ZYP or casting mold primer before use. Mold measures 4" long by 4" wide. Finished buttons measure 1" square.

  •   Beautiful Buttons

Pros : I have had so much fun mixing colors of frit to make buttons. I also used some dicroic glass pieces cut into small pieces and used clear frit to keep them in place. I am having so much fun with the button molds.
Cons : The first buttons I made us used regular kiln wash, and the buttons came out rough on the edges. So I cleaned off the mold and used Boron Nitride Mold Release, and now the buttons are perfect.
Other Thoughts : I want to thank everyone at Delphi for all the help they have given me with directions for using molds and what supplies to use for cutting glass. And the classes I have taken with Roy have been so much fun and I have learned a lot.
