Pros : Long lasting, efficient tool to smooth and polish stained and fused glass projects. Use of the fine pad with water reduces the need to fire polish many fused pieces.
Cons : None identified to date...having used my pads for more than 12 months.
Other Thoughts : Worth their weight in gold for the glass they have saved and the time reduced to eliminate flaws in my work. An excellent investment for your glass studio.

  •   Good value

Pros : Inexpensive set to start cold-working by hand.
Cons : 120 mesh has come loose. Will replace as opposed to repairing with glue, fanatic about sharp, clean edges.
Other Thoughts : To be fair, I have used these heavily for more than a year.

Pros : Work great.
Cons : One of the pads started pealing off. I just used a little E 6000 and stuck it back on.

  •   Can't live without

Pros : I use these just about every time I fuse. They are a must-have if you don't have a grinder! They are my go-to if my cut is not quite straight and are really handy for putting nice clean edges on jewelry. Also handy for getting stuck-on shelf wash off the bottom of your pieces. I use the 70 grit the most often, and it takes a lot of material off quickly. The higher grits are good for smoothing out rough spots or burs.
Cons : Great for smaller pieces, but sometimes I wish they were just a bit larger.

Pros : I adore these pads. I just started in glass and have saved several pieces from ruin with this set.
Cons : The pads are expensive.
Other Thoughts : Though the pads are more expensive, I think they will last a long time and will pay for themselves over time.

  •   Good Quality Pads
By on
Pros : Nice assortment of grits. They do a good job of removing burs on fused glass, or finishing edges of cut bottles. If you flip them over, the colored part is good for buffing off mild to moderate kiln dust on projects.
Cons : Many times I wish they were flexible. You cannot reach small areas at all.
Other Thoughts : They are a good deal for the money, and very useful.

  •   Diamond Hand Pads
By on
Pros : I am extremely happy with these hands pads. They work really well to clean up the edges of the glass prior to fusing. They will also remove a little nib along the edge of the glass prior to or after firing.
Cons : They are fairly expensive.
