  • Variable speed 1/7 hp motor makes it easy to set the cutting speed according to the material, thickness, and precision of your cuts. Plus, it's so quiet you can hardly hear it run
  • Set up takes only minutes, and with easy-to-install blades, quick blade tension adjustment, and virtually no replacement parts, you can spend more time cutting, and less time maintaining your saw

  •   Works for me!

Pros : Set up properly, does exactly what it’s intended to do. Love that you can bring down blade support bar down closer to the glass and take away the longer stretch of the blade to the glass.
Cons : None for now.
Other Thoughts : If you follow the instructions and the blade tension is where it should be (didn’t have to touch mine from the factory) and don’t force your glass you should not have issues such as snapping the blade. I’ve read reviews with that being the biggest complaint. I took a chance after watching Delphi’s video and I paid attention to the quality and workmanship while watching the video and I liked what I saw. I got mine today and gave it a trial run and it performed perfectly. I let the saw do the work and didn’t force anything. I also have another bandsaw and this Diamond Elite is a much more quality build which you should expect with it being a bit more pricey. The Diamond Elite is quieter and has better/quality adjustments. It’s not something I will use every day but I expect, from what I’ve done so far, for it to last a good long time.

  •   Finicky
By on
Pros : The width of the blade cut is perfect. This saw is a must-have if you want multiple pieces of glass cuts to match up perfectly (as in the lines of a sky or feathers.)
Cons : It’s finicky and requires precision tuning.
Other Thoughts : Replace those little screw with stainless screws. The ones used will rust and seize up.

  •   Not what I expected
By on
Pros : Made of good quality material
Cons : My old saw that finally died cut like butter, this … so much harder to cut with not smooth at all.
Other Thoughts : Really wishing I had gone with a different saw but it’s too late now. I’m still cutting by hand instead.

When and how did you get started in stained glass? Ive been interested in stained glass for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would sit in churches and watch the (often) biblical depictions come to life when a stray ray of sunlight cast its illumination our way. Sun shadows dancing. I dabbled in many media over the years, trying to find an outlet for some of the visions careening inside, but none of them took. Drawing, painting - even watercolours - no amount of professional training could guide my hand in a satisfactory way. But then there was the glass. I lived abroad for a few years, and wound my way through Europe on my way back to the States when I finished my Peace Corps Service. My last international destination was Paris, where one of my closest friends lives as an organist. Two beautiful autumn

Chances are, right now, in reading this blog post, youre avoiding an overdue task. I too was avoiding a laundry list of work-related tasks in writing this. Procrastination is a part of life, and its certainly always been a part of mine. As a teenager, my parents would accuse me of putting off everything from piano practice to math homework. Id vehemently deny their charges hissing back, I work better under pressure. The truth was, I often felt overwhelmed, under-productive and anxious. Over the years, Ive been able to combat my avoidance issues using 4 tools. The trick is constantly reminding myself of these actions, because they do not come naturally to me. 1. Just Say No. I say yes to everything. Need someone to head up that event? Sure. Want me to design 12 posters for the Car Wash? No problem. Take your kid to daycare? Of course.
