  •   Good little kit
By on
Pros : this little kit has everything that you would need to get started and make wonderful enameled jewelry. You can plug in the kiln and start enameling. It may seem that the instructions are not clear, but enameling is really that easy. You just plug in your kiln, wait for it to get hot - about 15 minutes, then you clean your metal and shift the enamel onto the metal blank. You put the metal into the kiln and watch to see that it is all smooth and shiny. Take it out of the kiln and let it air cool. Then you continue putting on others layers of enamel. It is fun and easy.
Cons : The instructions included could be better. But purchase another book with this kit and it will be well worth it.
Other Thoughts : This kit has been given a bad rap. It's a great deal and will be perfect for a beginner. You need to be a self learner and have the ability to be brave and just try something without tons of instruction.

  •   Enameling kit
By on
Pros : Nothing positive.
Cons : My daughter, who is very skilled in jewelry making and fusing glass, was unable to ever make anything with this kit. Instructions are too vague. A real waste of money.
Other Thoughts : Delphi is a good company. I hope this review saves someone from a disappointing purchase.

  •   don't expect what's in the picture

Pros : Nothing to report.
Cons : In the picture there appears to be a book of instructions in reality it contains notes that are so badly photocopied time & time again that they are hardly legible. Not impressed at all given that it is a "beginner" kit & yet the instructions are photocopied so poorly.
Other Thoughts : To save disappointment look elsewhere for a kit.

National Book Lovers Day is a lesser known holiday - much to my disappointment. Its celebrated on August 9th every year. I love books. I love books so much that in my house, every day is Book Lovers Day. Im hoping youll join me in celebrating for this one day at least though. A book is a gift you can open again and again. Garrison Keillor A home without books is like a room without windows. Horace Mann Books have always held a special place in my heart. They open up a world of new possibilities to me. Each time I come back to a book, I bring fresh experiences and perspective to it, which lets me take something new away from it. Art books are no different. In addition to the bones of the process, the invaluable instruction that they present, they offer an opportunity to dream and create.
