Odyssey's turtlebacks are exact copies of those used in an original 16" dome. While the originals were hand chipped to the proper size from larger turtlebacks, Odyssey has eliminated this difficult process by pressing them into their final shape. The original chipped marks on the back are retained in the mold.

Note regarding color: Turtlebacks are available only in dark emerald green with traditional "Favrile" surface iridescence. Eighteen squares are required to complete shade T1434. Turtlebacks come four to a patty and must be cut apart before installation -- a diamond saw is recommended.
