Type of Class: Demonstration and hands-on project
Class Description: Stained glass has once again become popular. Of course that's why you're here. This is a great place to get started. Students will be taught the basic copper foil method, including safety, types of glass, patterns, cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, cleaning, patinas, and framing. Everything you'll need to know to carry on this fabulous art form.
NOTE: You may want to bring a snack/lunch for an optional lunch break or you may go out to get lunch.
Safety:.Not to fear, glass is safe however we do have a few safety procedures to ensure this.
Closed toed shoes are recommended when cutting or handling glass.
Safety glasses should be worn during class. Glasses will be provided if necessary.
It's not recommended to work with solder or lead if you are pregnant.
Tools & Materials Included: The use of our grinders, saws, glass cutting and soldering tools. Copper foil, solder and zinc framing are included.
Additional Tools & Materials: None

Class Description: Bring a classic back to life in a new and fun way with this 1 day class. Students will be taught the lead came method of stained glass, including safety, types of glass, patterns, cutting, grinding, cutting cames, soldering, cleaning, and framing.

Cutting Art Glass: A Quick Course

Type of Class: Demonstration and hands-on projects
Class Description: This 1½ hour class will show you how to cut any glass like a pro. Your instructor will demonstrate the standard technique for using any of several “pencil shaped” cutters, and how to use other popular types of cutters, including the pistol grip and Thompson grip cutters. Students will receive samples of glass, and try several different types of cutters.
Safety: Safety glasses should be worn when cutting glass. They will be provided if necessary.
Tools & Materials Included: All materials and use of our tools
Additional Tools & Materials: Students may want to bring their own glass cutter, breaking/grozer pliers, running pliers and safety glasses.

Soldering Made Easy

Experience Required: Have taken a beginning stained glass class and have made some panels
Type of Class: Demonstration and hands-on project
Class Description: Learn the basics of beautiful, uniform, and fast solder work in this two hour class. Also covered; various solder formulas, different fluxes, and irons.
Safety: Please do not work with lead or solder if you are expecting. Please do not wear sandals if cutting or handling glass. Safety glasses must be worn during class, provided if needed.
Tools & Materials Included: None
Additional Tools & Materials: Your own stained glass tools
A small panel to work on in class, no larger than ½ to 1½ sq. ft., already foiled, ready to solder.
Your own soldering supplies; solder, flux, etc.
