Class Description:
Create a shimmering glass mosaic window in this one-day class.  Find out about the proper adhesives for doing glass on glass mosaics.  Working with transparent stained glass, students will learn simple cutting techniques.  Designing for mosaics will also be covered.  Bring your own glass window (no larger than 18 “ x 18”) or purchase one at class (approx. $25).  Stained glass and adhesive will be provided.  Bring your own glass cutting and mosaic nippers or borrow ours during class.  No glass cutting or mosaic experience is necessary.   
 
Safety:
Please do not wear sandals if cutting or handling glass. Safety glasses must be worn during class, provided if needed.    
 
Tools and materials included:
Stained glass, adhesive
Use of glass cutting tools and mosaic nippers
 
Additional Tools & Materials:
Optional: Pen and paper for notes. Students may want to bring design ideas; designs can be simple black and white line art, such as clip art.
Students can purchase a glass window for around $25 or bring their own. A picture frame with glass also makes a good surface for your project. (no larger than 20" x 20")
