Experience Required: Beadmaking 101 class.

Type of Class: Lecture, demonstration and hands-on

Class Description: Take it a step further with Beadmaking: 102. Add to your skill base learning how to pull and use one and two color stringers to make dots and flowers. Try a variety of hand tools for stretching, shaping and mashing.

Safety: Please do NOT wear open toed shoes or sandals. Long pants are recommended but not mandatory. Natural fiber clothes are best, cotton, linen, etc. Long hair should be tied back. Safety glasses must be worn, glasses are provided in class if needed.

Tools & Materials Included: Glass rods, use of mandrels and torches, hand tools

Additional Tools & Materials: Map/Pro gas canister. MAP/Pro can be purchased at your local hardware store or big box home improvement store.

Pros : This class was awesome!! Additional techniques were added to what I learned in the 1st class. Pulling glass dots in the beads, pulling swirl lines creating directions, flowers and flattening beads. I had plenty of time to play with all the techniques. I’m excited to continue working on these designs in beads. This class was so helpful!
