Type of Class: Demonstration and hands-on project
Class Description: This is the perfect introductory to mosaic glass. We're sure by the time you leave, you'll be hooked. Make a beautiful mosaic table for your home or for a gift! Learn the basics of the direct mosaic method that can be applied to many different surfaces. Students will begin the table top in class and finish the project at home. All steps for completing the project will be demonstrated during class. Using strips of glass and mosaic nippers students will create a sunface design using colorful stained glass. Students may bring another pattern if they choose instead of the supplied sunface pattern. Students with glass cutting experience may bring their favorite glass cutting tools.
Safety: Not to fear, glass is safe however we do have a few safety procedures to ensure this.
Closed toed shoes are recommended when cutting or handling glass.
Safety glasses should be worn during class. Glasses will be provided if necessary.

18 in. round wooden table top (#56618) and 19 in. wrought iron table legs (#425660)
Stained glass strips
Grout and glue
Sunface pattern
Use of our mosaic nippers
Additional Tools & Materials: Students with glass cutting experience may bring their favorite glass nippers.
Students may bring a different pattern. Instructor will be able to size the pattern accordingly.
Note: Students may want to bring a snack/lunch for class. A break will be provided to go out for lunch.
