Type of Class: Demonstration and hands-on project

Class Description: Create a unique bowl with a custom shaped drop ring. Students will learn how to make fiberboard molds; one for casting glass and one for dropping the glass through. Fuse glass with frit, confetti and stringers to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art! No experience is necessary. Fusing schedules and temperatures will be covered. The bowl will be fused and slumped after class and is usually available one week after class. Pieces can be mailed for a small fee.

Safety: Please do not wear sandals if cutting or handling glass. Safety glasses must be worn during class, provided if needed.

Tools & Materials Included: Use of our frits, confetti, and stringers

Pros : Very informative and helpful with your project. All materials were included. Great instructor!
Cons : Wish there was a book of ideas to draw from when creativity is lacking. ;) Found out the smaller the frit used the more bubbles are trapped in your glass. Cool effect if you want that.
Other Thoughts : I have my bowl as my center piece on my coffee table. It looks great. I use it as a candy dish. Lots of compliments.
