With:  Deb Crowley

One Day Only:

Where:  Delphi's Lansing Creativity Center

When:  9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Skill level:  Beginner/Intermediate

Glass artist Deb Crowley is back at Delphi to teach several classes, including this one which uses soft glass (104 COE) even though these techniques can be used on other glasses.

Are you a flameworker struggling with executing a design or texture?  Would you like to make better art with a whole new palette of colors that don't reduce or don't need to be struck? How about soft patterns and backgrounds for your beads that are easy to apply them without all that frustration?  Come and join Deb as she shows you all the years and trials she took to get to the incredible enameled designs she gets on her fish and shells?  We will start with a few simple beads to get the application and textures down first, you'll be amazed how just heat, amount of enamel and timing can bring so many different results!  After lunch we will work on some detailed patterning and how to apply them on more realistic fish. I have taught these techniques for over 20 years, they can be applied to any COE glass as long as they get enough heat to stick.  This can also be used in borosilicate glass powder and frit with as much success!
