  •   So much potential for a great experience.

Pros : The process was explained in great detail with the needed examples and explanations given as to why things are done to prevent errors or injury and produce a successful glass blown globe. We got to create a plate out of the glass globes that were unsuccessful to keep.
Cons : We had an hour of lecture and demonstration and we were only allowed 5 glass blown globes to try in a limited amount of time (15 min). I felt rushed and pressured to get them done as quickly as I could so we could get the plate of the globes that failed. The Frit selection was depleted from the last class and was not replenished and with the limited time given to create our globes and plate, I felt we were not able to really explore or create our plates or globes to our ideal design with the limited time given.
Other Thoughts : Class should have been 3 hrs so that Val could have her hour to explain the process and reasons for these process, and we had time for us to try more glass blowing an 5 globes and then create our plate out of our less successful attempts. We should have had more than 5 attempts to create glass globes.
