Experience Required: Open to all levels of experience, basic glass cutting skills and copper foil construction is recommended but not required.

Class Description: New York glass artist Joseph Cavalieri is excited to be teaching this technique driven workshop covering different processes to add line, shading and imagery onto stained glass. In this four-day class learn and practice painting, penning, air-brushing using an atomizer, silk-screen printing with screen Joseph will bring, and sandblasting. No need to be a professional painter, we will trace images, using premixed, kiln fires enamels. Cutting, copper foiling and soldering will be covered. Expect to make one 12x12 inch panel, and many samples. Lighting and framing demos will be shared, along with lectures on marketing and Art Residencies.
Safety: Please do not wear open toed shoes or sandals when cutting glass.
Safety glasses must be worn, glasses are provided in class if needed.
Tools & Materials Included: All materials are included.
Additional Tools & Materials: Students may want to bring their own glass cutter, breaking pliers, soldering tools and safety glasses. Also bring your favorite paint brushes for watercolor in particular liner brushes size 2, 4. Delphi will provide if necessary. You may want to have a few working sketches of ideas or photos/illustrations for inspiration. A small tracing pad and sketch pad will come in handy.
