Demonstrations will include simple glass cutting techniques, assembling glass projects, kiln and shelf preporation. Topics will include compatibility of fusible glasses, kilns and how to program them, firing schedules, types of slumping molds and safety practices.
Get your fusing questions answered during this 2 1/2 hour live class presentation.
Students will need to register with Zoom prior to class.
Students will be emailed a link to the class a few hours before class time on the day of the class. Students will be allowed to enter the virtual classroom 15 minutes before the class start time.

Pros : This class was just what I needed as a beginner. Information was clear and concise and the visuals were so helpful.
Cons : None!
Other Thoughts : I was pleasantly surprise. This was my first online class with Delphi Glass. I look forward to more!

Pros : Very helpful. I am new to fusing and do not have a kiln yet. I have made some small items in some classes offered but I enjoyed learning how the kiln works and the extent of what all is involved. The fusing class gave me enough insight in being able to want to get started fusing.
Cons : No cons really. Felt topics were covered well for time allocated
Other Thoughts : I would like opinions from seasoned users on what kilns they like best, and what tools they use the most or would be smartest to purchase especially to start out. I am also curious on buying glass in beginning. Is is smart to buy a bundle of an assortment or buy project to project and have assorted leftovers to build on? I definitely want to learn to do landscape and flower pictures that would be larger in size.

Pros : Very informative, exciting & fun. Great walk through of different techniques. Allowed questions and was through in answering them. A good place for beginners to start.
Cons :
Other Thoughts : Now I can’t wait for more classes to learn more ways to work with glass. Very excited about the different possibilities of fusing glass

Pros : I prefer in-person, hands-on classes, but since there are no opportunities to learn fusing locally, and, Lansing, MI is a far piece away from me- this was a great opportunity for me. I am just beginning and had trepidation about doing this all on my own. Removed a lot of "fear". Some of the manuals, especially the one that came with the kiln had me a little concerned over the safety in my situation. I have delt with Delphi for years- was doing stained glass panels- lead mostly, some foil- but no longer have the space for that kind of studio/work space. NOW, really looking forward to getting started.
Cons : Not hands-on, in-person. I am a very visual learner- touchy feely works best for me. Still, I learned what I needed to.I am not a techno wizard when it comes to computers, very little experience with ZOOM, Took me a bit to figure out how to ask a question- hope I didn't miss any important info while I was on that journey.....
Other Thoughts : Hope you offer more classes on fusing, slumping, casting. At the moment I am most interested in slumping- that may change as I journey into this medium.

Pros : Very informative
Teacher (Roy Kapp) was great, knowledgeable, patient, funny and made the time fly by.
Good value for money
Answered student's questions during the class
Had live demos.
Cons : None that come to mind.
Other Thoughts : Roy is a true asset to Delphi. This was the 2nd zoom class I attended that was taught by him. His knowledge is vast, his teaching style is very good and he makes the class interesting and humorous.
Would highly recommend it.

Pros : I thought everything was explained pretty well, I've been wanting to come out to the hands on class and have been tossing it around. I think once I'm set up at home I may take a much needed break and visit lol.
The class was very informative, both of you did an excellent job!
Cons : None.
Other Thoughts : This is great if you live far away, I was surprised to see web classes!

Pros : The instructor kept the class moving and interesting. I was concerned 2 1/2 hours would drag but they didn't, although when I heard the class might go 3 hours I was a little concerned.
The instructor showed everything he was doing and i was able to clearly see the before and after the kiln images.
The instructor was incredibly clear was his teaching and added some humor which helped to make the time move.
The videographer was excellent.
All the questions I posted in the chat were answered either by the person watching the chat or the instructor toward the end of the session.
Cons : The class was on the verge of being a little too long. Perhaps a 2 hour class would work better. I was actually dreading sitting and watching the screen for 2 1/2 hours but the time passed faster than I thought it would.

Pros : Decided to sign up for the class to explore glass fusing. The virtual class provided a lot of information and when the time comes to start I feel better prepared to begin.
