This November at Delphi we are hosting the Stained Glass Scene store event. This is a day dedicated to the lovely art of stained glass. We will feature 3-4 technique specific sessions that cover tips for beginners and inspirational ideas, as well as something for those already skilled in the craft.

12pm      Introduction to Stained Glass
Have you always wanted to know more about the art of stained glass? This presentation will show you how stained glass creations are made.  Get a brief introduction to the materials and tools necessary for creating these beautiful works of art.

12:30pm     Painting with Enamels
See how to use enamel paints to enhance and elevate your stained glass panels.  Daisy will show you how to use enamels, how to fire them in a kiln, and how to add them to your copper foil projects to create unique pieces of glass.

1:00pm     Creating Your Own Patterns
Roy will show you how easy it is to create your own stained glass patterns.  You don't need to be an artist to convert clip art into stained glass suncatchers or even panels. Find out how to add break lines for ease of cutting and aesthetics. 

1:30pm        Quick Pre-cut Holiday Gifts
Need a stained-glass gift in a hurry?  Pre-cut kits are a great way to make beautiful projects in a short amount of time.  See the best way to construct these kits using hobby came and solder.  Topics will include how to apply wires, attach to twisted wire, and working with u shaped lead came.

Tools for Beginners and Everybody

What are the best tools for doing copper foil work? Which tools should I use for lead came construction?
This presentation will answer all of these questions and more.
Basic stained glass construction will be covered along with great explanations of the various tools.

Copper Wire Fall Tree

See how to construct a fabulous 3-d Fall decoration created with copper wire and stained glass.
Demonstrations and discussions will show you how to make this home accent for the season.

Stained Glass Wind Chimes / Mobiles

Wind chimes and Mobiles are delicately balanced sculptures that move gently in the air.
Steena will show you how to construct one out of stained glass.
She will demonstrate how to assemble them by drilling holes and attaching wires.

From Picture to Stained Glass

Find out how to turn an image into a stained glass panel. How to create a pattern from an image along will be demonstrated.
Embellishments like overlays and fused glass accents will also be covered.
